R's Birthday

Well tomorrow is R's 6th birthday. He is very excited about being 6 years old. Although the other day he said that since Papa is retired and can go to Florida anytime he wants ~ he wanted to be 63 just like him.

His party was Sunday and it was the best party I had yet. We had it at the Sawmill facility instead of the regular Hamilton YMCA where we always have it. I was stressed and worried because the Sawmill place didn't have the jumper thing. Well it was so much more organized than the other place. They played scooter relays, soccer and field hockey with those big vinyl covered looking foam sticks. They had cake and then they played a little basketball and then went home. It was quick, easy and I'm glad it's over.

I have been stressing as well about what I should do about his "school" party. I decided that tonight we're going to bake a big choc. chip cookie and bring that in. Probably lame but I didn't feel like doing the usual cupcakes. Also for school tomorrow "bad mom" is not bringing in goodie bags. I just don't feel like worrying about it. They'll have the cookie and celebrate his birthday and that's it. I'm sure Diantha will have something to say about it or bring it to my attention somehow that I didn't bring in goodie bags. She has a way of doing that.

I can't believe it has been that long. Happy bday R! My cousin's DD's bday was today; she's also 6. Her DS's bday is next week and he'll be 10 I think.

I'm bummed B missed his party. And I snickered about Diantha. You'll have to let me know if she did indeed make a comment about the lack of goodie bags. You know, here they seem to do girls only parties and it seems so strange from the coed ones everyone all seemed to do up there.
